A Community Christmas with Jerry Green Dog Rescue 🎄🐾

This one felt very close to home.

Literally.

This Christmas, we partnered with one of our incredible brand ambassadors, @ohmymurph, and his lovely mum Gabrielle to put together something pretty special for Jerry Green Dog Rescue here in Lincolnshire.

For those who don’t know, Lincolnshire is home for us. So supporting a local rescue felt particularly meaningful.

What started as a simple idea quickly grew into something much bigger.

Gabrielle went above and beyond. She contacted local shops, independent dog businesses, and pet companies. She coordinated donations, organised collections, and somehow managed to pull together an enormous bundle of Christmas goodies for the dogs.

Treats. Toys. Supplies. Practical essentials.

It was genuinely impressive to see how many people wanted to get involved.

We donated £1,000 worth of Good For Pets products to add to the bundle, making sure the dogs received supplements to support their gut health, joints and overall wellbeing alongside all the festive treats.

When everything was collected together, it was huge.

Seeing it all ready to go, knowing it would land at Jerry Green and go directly to dogs who need it most, was a reminder of what community can actually do when someone takes the lead.

Jerry Green has been rescuing and rehoming dogs for decades. The work they do across Lincolnshire and beyond gives so many dogs a second chance. Safe spaces. Proper care. Time to decompress. Time to rebuild trust.

Christmas can be a tough time for rescue centres. Resources are stretched. Intake often increases. Every extra bit of support genuinely helps.

This donation was not just from Good For Pets.

It was from a group of small businesses, dog lovers, and one very committed ambassador family who decided to make something happen.

I’m incredibly grateful to Murph and Gabrielle for driving this. It would not have happened without them.

And I’m proud that Good For Pets could play a part in it.

The bigger this community grows, the more we can do moments like this.
