Meet Kishan: The Vet Helping Shape the Future of Good For Pets
We’re proud to welcome Dr Kishan Vara, practising veterinary surgeon and clinic owner, who has joined Good For Pets as a partner.
Kishan works hands-on with pets and their owners every day, and brings real clinical experience directly into how we develop our products and create impact beyond the clinic.
From Passion to Practice

Kishan holds three degrees in veterinary science, including a BSc from the Royal Veterinary College and a Master’s in Regenerative Medicine from Queen Mary University of London, before returning to the RVC to qualify as a veterinary surgeon.
In just over 15 months of practising, he now co-owns two veterinary clinics. But his motivation to become a vet began much earlier, after seeing the profound impact a pet had on a family member’s life at just 15 years old. That experience shaped his belief in how deeply animals can change us.
Why Good For Pets
Working in clinic allows a vet to help thousands of animals locally, but Kishan always felt the limits of scale. His ambition was to help as many animals as possible, which led him to Good For Pets.
What stood out was the company’s 51% donation model, not as a message, but as a built-in commitment to real-world impact. Growth here directly means more animals helped.

Shaping Products and Impact
As a partner, Kishan helps guide product development with a clinical lens, focusing on evidence-based, preventative products he’d genuinely feel confident recommending in practice.
He’s also closely involved in the charitable side of Good For Pets, helping ensure donations translate into tangible outcomes, with plans to support rescue centres in the future through neutering programmes and other veterinary surgeries as opportunities allow.

A Shared Mission
This partnership strengthens both the products we create and the impact we’re able to deliver. With Kishan on the team, we’re continuing to turn everyday purchases into meaningful change for animals who need it most.
